The Tim Gagne Jr. Travel & Learn Scholarship
The Tim Gagne Jr. Travel & Learn Scholarship is a scholarship created to help student learn about their environment and world through hands on trips and experiences.
While Tim was in school he was fortunate enough to be able to travel into the field and across the country to learn things from local history to the ecology of the fragile Florida Everglades. These experiences helped to shape his life as well as his learning.
Unlike Tim, most students aren’t aware of the opportunities that exist for them and often the ones who do can’t afford it on their own. The Tim Gagne Jr. Travel & Learn Scholarship is designed to help kids who otherwise couldn’t afford the hands on learning that many need.

As we grow as a foundation and have more resources we will be able to help make more kids dreams come true. What do you need to apply?
· Are you a students from grade 6 to 12?
· Planning to take part in an educational trip? (preference is given to environmental studies focused learning)
· Can you write about it? (what you hope to get out of it and how the funding will impact your future)
· Have three people who will write you recommendations? (a peer, a significant adult, a community member)
If you meet the criteria above, we look forward to hearing from you!
To apply all a student will need to do is get the contact information for the organization or person planning the trip they wish to attend, get three references, write your essay and get your application to The Tim Gagne Jr. Memorial Foundation by the deadline (Deadlines TBA). Applications can be mailed along with reference letters to The Tim Gagne Jr. Memorial Foundation, 81 Bergeron Drive, Arundel, Maine 04046. Applications can be picked up in your schools guidance office or requested through Info@timgagnejr.org.
